Setup
- 5 cards are dealt to each player (7 for 2 players).
- The rest of the deck forms the stock pile.
- The top card of the stock is turned over to start the discard pile. If it's an 8, it's buried in the stock and a new card is drawn.
Gameplay
- Match the top card of the discard pile by rank or by suit.
- If you cannot play, you must draw from the stock pile until you get a playable card.
- The first player to get rid of all their cards wins the round.
Specialty Cards
- Eights: All 8s are wild. You can play an 8 on top of any card. When you play an 8, you must declare a new suit that the next player has to follow.
Optional Special Rules
(Enable with the "Special Rules" toggle)
- Twos: Playing any 2 forces the next player to draw 2 cards and their turn is skipped.
- Queen of Spades (Q♠): Playing the Queen of Spades forces the next player to draw 5 cards and their turn is skipped.
Scoring
- 8s: 50 points
- Face Cards (K, Q, J): 10 points
- Aces: 1 point
- Number Cards: Face value
- The game ends when a player reaches 100 points. The player with the lowest score wins.
Strategy Tips
- Hold onto 8s as long as possible.
- Play high-value cards first to minimize penalty points if you lose the round.
- Pay attention to what suits opponents are drawing for.
